You are invited to participate in the 2013 Locust Valley Student
Film Festival, a day long event established to showcase film and
video production by high school students.


Categories:


  • Animation (up to 5 minutes)
  • TV Commercial (up to 90 seconds)
  • PSA (up to 2 minutes)
  • Documentary Film (up to 7 minutes)
  • Dramatic Film (up to 7 minutes)
  • Comedy Film (up to 7 minutes)
  • Movie Trailer (up to 2 minutes)
  • Music Video (up to 5 minutes)

Content:

Each school is responsible for ensuring that entries have age appropriate
content (language, violence, sexuality, etc.)

Format:


Please submit entries on a DVD as a Quick Time data file

Judging:


The Film Festival judge is Sandy Kenyon, Entertainment Reporter
and Critic for WABC-TV. Awards will be presented to the top
three entries in each category.

All entries will be pre-judged by a panel of professionals in the field
or professors currently teaching film or television production. They
will select the finalists.

All judging is done blindly. Judges are given only the title of the entries.
They are not told the names of the schools or students who
submitted the entries. None of the judges has any affiliation with the
Locust Valley School District.
